Get the src.rpm, install it and all its dependencies and either

o just rebuild, rpm uses what it considers best for your platform
o pass any optflags via the command line
o edit the specfile to enable myth's autooptimization

Publish your benchmarks in numbers. I don't think you will see much
more optimization than the default one used in the packages.
