The article is mostly positive, but sucks. It sounds like it was written by a high schooler with zero linux experaince and an inablity to read docs. The article mentions having problems getting LIRC to see thier remote, needing to launch gedit from a command line to edit configuration files (ever heard of vi guys???), and past problems with MySQL talking to Myth. Based on this quote from the article: "Apparently, projects like MythTV have Certificate Codes, and after a quick Google search we found one that worked. To save you that trouble, it's ZIYN-DQZO-SBUT." It is apparent that they didn't bother to read the offical docs, which I find unacceptable. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
