I just bought a new SoundBlaster Live card and I see through amixer that there are no mixers named "Master" or "PCM". Because of this, MythTV isn't able to adjust the volume. I'm using alsa and MythTV is using OSS. The mixer device I need is named "Analog Front".
Is there a way to alias "Analog Front" to PCM or have MythTV use "Analog Front" instead of PCM? I've tried manually altering the setting MixerControl in the database but this has no effect.
