There's a big thread in the archives on this in the past few months. Search the archives. I bought an IR receiver off eBay which plugs into my serial port. I like this solution because it means that I can use buy and configure any remote to use rather than be stuck with whatever comes with the tuner card. I ended up buying a Packard Bell remote, again off eBay, which works great and has lots of buttons to configure.
