Yes, I was making up filenames for the purpose of this e-mail... I didn't want to spend the time you did explaining it, to remember and type one up. > >Is there some other table that I need to get some data from for this > >to work properly? > > > My recommendation is to start over. I'm making up a filename, but it's one of the appropriate format. side note: I actually have a cron job that runs every 15 minutes that will change ownership and permissions on all the files in the relevent places... > $ mv 1249_20050516195800_20050516210000.nuv MyShow > $ touch 1249_20050516195800_20050516210000.nuv > > $ mv MyShow 1249_20050516195800_20050516210000.nuv > $ myth.rebuilddatabase.pl --dbhost=localhost I've never used that rebuilddatabase.pl because I didn't know exactly what it did. I don't know where it gets the guide data from... does the myth database actually keep ALL old stuff? Some of these recordings are from 3 or 4 weeks ago at least. > (where myth.rebuilddatabase.pl is a script in the contrib directory of > the source distribution of MythTV) Type in the appropriate title, > subtitle, and description for the show once the script finds it (if you > had the right name before, the script may find the appropriate > information automatically since you just deleted a recording with that > info). don't mind my last statement... It's bad data in your database. :) Right, but I figure people that pay closer attention to the dev list might know the database schema a little better Thank you very much Mike, I'll let you know how it goes! _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
