Previous setup was running 2 instances of LIRC - the i2c driver for Hauppauge PVR card, and lirc_serial for a transmitter to control a cable TV box.
I have now (finally and after much despair thinking it would never work!) soldered up a combined serial port receiver/transmitter, and wish to control both of these devices on one serial port (my system only has one). However, after releasing the serial port via setserial, I can modprobe one of the drivers, but as soon as I try and modprobe the second, it (unsurprisingly) tells me the port is in use, and the modprobe fails. What I am after is the magic config line(s) to make them both play together. Both instances have different major-numbers, and both load fine on their own, and the devices are detected. Getting them both the work on the same port is causing me nightmares! The LIRC docs say it will work as long as different major numbers are used, but nothing about the COM port setup. Thanks to anyone who can help out here, Nick _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
