Couple reasons, in varying degrees of validity: 1. I'm very comfortable (as is the wife) with the current UI / Operation of the Mythfrontend. Given one of the reasons for this project is to allow the wife to get to her programs as a new mother, learning a new UI is not an option at this time. :) 2. I'm very comfortable with the OS/operation of the present frontend. Working through the integration of a new platform is not something I have a lot of time for right now. 3. A lot of those are tailored to multiple recievers, multiple transmitters (IE whole house audio systems). I'm looking for single transmitter, single reciever, single path, without spending $150. I already have the video portion covered (I'll just mask the IR on the video sender). I was hoping to find a <=$30 option for hard entending it. Heck, most of the wireless senders are in that ballpark. >because pointing a camera at the IR extender verifies that most of the >time it is blasting out IR noise, which interferes with both my >original satellite remote and the IR blaster for Myth. I'd forgotten about that old trick. I'll take a pass through the back bedroom and see if I can find something. Thanks all for your input, and help. I welcome any other ideas. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
