Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll have to upgrade IVTV asap to take advantage of this. WRT to MythTV, as I said it can't deal with the data from the PVR-x50 cards directly. If you get yourself a PVR-350 card for output, then (if you set the right flags with ivtvctl) you can have CC encoded into the MPEG datastream and then decoded on output by the PVR-350 (which is passed to the TV). While PVR-350 output has other issues, if you are deaf/hard of hearing then this is probably your best bet for getting workable CC output. As a bonus, you can dump the MPEG files onto DVD (as long as you don't re-encode them) and your DVD player will output closed captioning!
