I live in two worlds: Europe and USA. So dealing with TVs are always an issue. Stupid region agreements, differences in format and scan frequencies. You all know that.

So some time ago I decided to go MythTV in order to once and for all get access to all my recordings and DVDs.

Yesterday Fry's had a sale which included LCd flatscreens and I got a Samsung 19" (930B) for $378 + $80 in mailin rebate. Good deal. It a good monitor. Now here comes the part I really liked: There are installation instructions for Windows and for the first time I have seen it: Linux.

OK so it is for X86Free and not Xorg, but anyway. Nice to see support emerge these places too.

Now I just need a DVD-D cable (they only include VGA - duh).

BTW: I am installing this one with wireless network using a CNet CWP-854 (~$30). This is going to be such a sweet little thing.
