True, but that's similar to the logic that says you should never buy
a computer, since if you buy one, it will be obsolete in 2 years when
something twice as fast and half the price is available.

Actually, that is what you get when you buy the new fangled tv's. My 3 year old Hitachi HDTV has 1200 lines of resolution. That is why I hate these new flatscreen and plasma tv's. They are only 720.
