Hi there,
I don't know if it's bundled with your distro, but SuSE comes with a KDE
desktop applet called kpowersave. I think it's just a GUI to the
powersaved daemon, but it comes with some useful profiles as standard and
you can create your own. If you put it into 'Presentation' mode, it will
disable your screensaver and your monitor power saving features.
flim.

after a while the screen goes blank. Moving the mouse brings the image
back. I'm assuming this is a power-saving feature (which is redundant,
since it's connected to my TV) but I can't find the settings to alter
it or disable it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I noticed that the new version of Myth (.18 or .18.1) turns off DPMS
when you go into TV-watching mode. Nice touch!
