Sound seems ok -- now. Alsa in installed. At first none of the mixers would run (no such device) but I could play mp3s. I reboot fix that. I also found something I missed in the configuration. I didn't tell it my card was a PVR350. That seems to help a bit, but.... The front end said it was unable to "initialize video" and after I exited from the mythfrontend. I did see a "IVTV_IOC_GET_FB: Invalid argument" on the screen. backend log file... 2005-05-25 16:27:03.792 New DB connection, total: 2 2005-05-25 16:27:03.808 New DB connection, total: 3 2005-05-25 16:27:04.307 New DB scheduler connection 2005-05-25 16:27:04.317 mythbackend version: 0.18.20050409-1 www.mythtv.org 2005-05-25 16:27:04.319 Enabled verbose msgs : important general 2005-05-25 16:27:06.316 Reschedule requested for id -1. 2005-05-25 16:27:06.706 Scheduled 0 items in 0.4 = 0.38 match + 0.01 place 2005-05-25 16:27:06.717 Seem to be woken up by USER 2005-05-25 16:27:16.088 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2005-05-25 16:27:16.090 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0) 2005-05-25 16:27:16.134 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2005-05-25 16:27:16.135 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 1) 2005-05-25 16:27:16.145 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2005-05-25 16:27:16.154 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0) 2005-05-25 16:27:16.179 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback 2005-05-25 16:27:16.180 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0) 2005-05-25 16:27:16.189 adding: mythtv as a remote ringbuffer 2005-05-25 16:27:16.207 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV 2005-05-25 16:27:42.410 Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None The only other thing that looked like an error was a complaint about 'lirc_init failed'. I hadn't bother doing anything with that yet (but the SW is installed). _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
