Been there, done that, several times. Did it again today, still no
joy. Rebooted, copied the xorg.conf.nvidia over the xorg.conf and
still got the same old same old msg. Time to do a complete reinstall,
oh well. Thanks for the tips.
Now my remote doesn't work, sigh.
Did you try a "depmod -ae" for good measure?
