Since I upgraded my version of IVTV via APT-GET a couple of weeks ago
I have problems with my picture (on captured movies and on Live TV).
I get a picture with random artifacts (large blocks of strange
colors). The appear on different parts in the screens and seems to be
totally random. It seems that I don't have the right after a reboot,
but it appears after a day or so. Sometimes there are more artifact
and sometime there is none.
I have tried the "AT-testing" repository version of IVTV (think its
version 0.3.something) and I don't have the same problem there.
Instead my system becomes unstable (two total system lockup in one
week, none before that). My system log file was full of strange
messages, can't remember what it said right now (over 40 MB's of text
in one night).
My system is a Shuttle with nVidia chipset running a AMD Athlon
processor.
Software is Fedora Core 3 running CVS compiled version of the latest
MythTV source (last update a couple of days ago).
Anybody else seen/have the same problem? Any hint to a solution?
