I had some pretty good issues with the Lite On and my Harmony 688 remote. Mainly with signal duplication even with repeats turned off and some funny capture errors. I had to call Harmony tech support since they won't let you edit codes directly (grrr) and have them adjust the captured codes. Once that was done everything works great, but they put me through hoops and I had demand the case get escalated when the front line guy was out of ideas etc. Annoying but the end product is very stable. I coudln't get any of the other older cheap universal remotes to work with the Lite On at all, they just seem to have cronic problems capturing the signals (to long maybe even on a singal fast press).
I was never able to get my Streamzap USB remote to work with lirc so luck with that.
