I find that sound oftens stops working after either a Myth upgrade or a FC version upgrade. I have also found that it is almost always due to the mixer settings getting reset. I would have a play with those making sure your line in is set to capture (if that's appropriate for a SPDIF set up). Once you've got it working I'd recommend taking some screenshots of your mixer settings for future reference cos you can be certain something else will mess them up again in the future.
