I've just bought a:
AVerMedia AverTV DVB-T USB 2.0 (A800)
and hooked it up to my MythTV 0.18.1 box running
gentoo.
I've noticed that this tiny USB 2.0 DVB-T tuner
works flawlessly using recent dvb-kernel code
from linuxtv.org CVS. tzap tunes quickly and cleanly and
I can capture MPEG-2 without problems via
cat /dev/dvb/adaptor1/dvr0 > test.mpg.
However, when I fire up MythTV I have problems.
MythTV has no problem tuning to the start channel (10),
but if I try and change channels it fails to get lock
and I see the following in the logs:

So any ideas why tzap would work while MythTV has issues ?
Note that DVB#0 is a Hauppauge Nova-T PCI card that works
flawlessly. Both share the same antenna.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
