You should be able to get listings for DirecTV--unless you're in a
country for which there is no XMLTV grabber ( http://www.xmltv.org/ ).

I went to that screen but it does not seem to have any "save" menu.
I click on "Set options" and I can see the "Save" option. But I cannot
click on it as that is not an option I can select.
Because the options displayed are the current options (i.e. would result
in no changes).
How can I use MythTV to schedule recordings?
Use LEFT/RIGHT to select the desired option--try using LEFT/RIGHT on all
the options you can select to get a feel for the UI.
