This is the first time for me in this list.
I just set up my first myth box and almost everything works fine.
My system is composed of a VIA EPIA ML8000 PVR-250
512 Mb DDR 200 GB hdd maxtor.
Tv recordings are perfect and playbacks too.
I use via unichrome driver for hw accellerated mpg2 playback and cpu
utilization is around 20 %.
The only problem I noticed regards Live Tv: for 20 30 seconds the output
is perfect, audio and video are perfectly syncronized, then for 1-2
seconds Myth drops frames and audio becomes choppy to become perfect
again for other 20-30 seconds and this strange beheaviour repeats for as
long as I watch Live TV CPU utilization is around 30 40 % (res 720x 576).
My hdd settings are :
/dev/hdc:
multcount = 16 (on)
IO_support = 3 (32-bit w/sync)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
geometry = 24792/255/63, sectors = 398297088, start = 0
I added this line to /etc/sysctl.conf
vm/min_free_kbytes=131072
to always leave some memory free.
I don't know what to anymore.
