Well, i would buy a ups, but seeing as how im in university, paying rent is a little more important than worrying about some old computer dieing from crappy power.

$ mysqlcheck -u mythtv -pmythtv mythconverg

$ mysqldump -u mythtv -pmythtv mythconverg -c > mythtv_backup.sql

$ mythbackend -v schedule
(fix whatever it complains about or else send the output)
