I actually have my storage server separate so that I can use a mirrored RAID array for my storage server and not have to deal with the decreased write performance that it would bring to my mythbackend server. > I would > like some advice on how to logically set up the directory structures. > I'm not too familiar with the Linux standard directories (like /usr and > /etc) and so am a little confused where to put things. As others have mentioned, you can name this whatever you want. I think Myth defaults to /video. I have /mythtv for my myth tv files, and then I NFS mount my storage server onto /media for all of my other read-only files, (images, ogg, Xvid, etc.) Now I just need to get the stinkin mpeg2 -> Xvid process working cleanly ... but that's another email chain. - -Bryan -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (MingW32) iD8DBQFC5nzp5Cd6yomp7qYRAgLrAJ9A7ZOn8Xh32L/fGENGLbgtkMZ3jwCg6Sqm jDOFQmy9VoeQPk9MksQJ9Og= =Rejp -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
