If that's true, then that's a good reason to avoid the air2pc cards. I know that pchdtv is funding some of the MythTV devs to improve various
areas, including some that aren't directly related to just the pcHDTV
cards. One feature on their list to be done is the ability to save off separate streams from one channel, so for me that means that I could
record all 5 different PBS programs at once with one pcHDTV card.
I'd much rather have this functionality than saving 2% CPU usage and a little IO. Also, when recording 4 shows at once now with 4 cards my
AMD 2600 it is 97% idle, so a couple extra % is not going to make any
difference in performance.

But the Air2PC feature mentioned above (the hardware filtering of PIDs) is optional. One can still record entire transport stream if desired.

Having said that, I don't think this is an important feature and I wouldn't base purchase decisions on that.
