Howdy All, Seeing this post (below), I just thought I'd pop-up and mention the open-source RSS+Bittorrent+Video Player project that I happen to be on the list for (not a developer or anything though): it's called 'DTV' ( http://participatoryculture.org/download.php )
These guys have been working on a pretty amazing RSS+Bittorrent+video software, written mostly in python, and destined for MAC, Windows, and Linux (in that order). They've released (just today actually) the second Beta version for the MAC, and the first Windows CVS code is days away from being posted. Aparently the whole backend RSS+Bittorrent part is platform agnostic though, it's just the front-end that has to be ported...... ...so, would this be a good place to start if you wanted RSS and/or bittorrent video feeds available in MythTV? Buzz. (I'd love to be able to have time to do this integration, but unfortunately, I'm "time poor", so I just suggest it :-) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jason Lewis Sent: Thursday, 25 August 2005 4:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [mythtv-users] recording and playing video rss feeds or podcasts Hi Guys, I just wondered if there is any way of downloading video rss feeds and having them show up in the recorded media? It would kind of make sense to handle them like tv shows? Has there been any discussion on this?
