Looks too much like a pc case, but good overall...
Replace one of those drive bays with an lcd display
and it might be pretty nice.

> Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra9 motherboard

Total overkill, but hey, you work for Cisco ;-)

> GIGABYTE GV-NX66128DP Geforce 6600 PCIe video

Again, total overkill. Good if you want to game on this
machine too, otherwise, I could use one for playing
battlefield 2... ;-0

> Hauppage PVR-500

Good. But keep in mind that I think there are some
limitations based on what input you want to use.

> SeaSonic S12-380 Power Supply

Nice. Good power rails in that one.

> Athlon 64 3500+

Wow. All that power and no HD card?

> OCZ 2x512MB RAM

Way overkill, but memory is cheap.

> 4 Samsung Spinpoint 250GB drives

Quiet, fast, not much heat. Make sure to
cool that case. With that Athlon and 4 drives,
you probably will feel the heat coming off
that thing...

> Lite-On Black DL DVD Burner

Cool. Got the same one. Works great.

Audio will need a corresponding input. You'll need two
audio cards. I think you'll need an adapter and a dremel
to get at the second s-video input.

The video card will, but more importantly, your processor
will allow for it with no problems too. I have a 3250,
but Adelphia (soon to be T/W I've heard) doesn't know
how to enable *my* firewire port. I think they have just
lost all their good techs. I've brought the paperwork
in showing them they are required to enable it, still
no go. I've written my representatives to see if I can get
them to lean on someone locally, but I doubt that
will ever get anywhere.

Good luck and welcome. You could probably get
by with 2 250gb drives and add 2 more later for
the simple fact that it seems like drives purchased
together tend to fail around the same time.
