Searching here and in the KnoppMyth forms have yielded a wealth on info on timezone stuff but no solution to my problem, the closest I got was
"Changing channel listing time zone for one channel"
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/60050?

I use www.tvxb.com for my listings (Philippines) and while not great they work, for most of my channels the listings data comes from local services or at worst Hong Kong which is the same tinezone, except one channel that is South African where the listings are 8 hours out.

tvxb has some Timezone stuff to fix this, on a per channel bases you can shift the time data, as you can see in the example output below it adds +0800 (or whatever) to the start and stop fields which mythfilldatabase then ignores importing the data as if the time correction wasn't there, is there a way round this or can anyone think of a script that could go through the xmltv file adding the corrections to the start and stop times before I import the data?

Thanks.

Bad form, reply to self Bla Bla Bla.
Fixed it, because all of my listings are locale I didn't have a universal time zone set in the .ini file for TVxb. I was telling TVxb to add 6 hours to the start time of all the shows but some how it knew I'm in +8 land and hence the problem, now I've got all my local channels at +8 and Mnet at +2 it works.
