I also opted for JFS for my recordings-partition. AFAIK, it's the fastest for deleting large files and that's what the recordings-FS mainly is. Some GB-sized nuv's and some smaller png's. ReiserFS might be fast for lots of small files but this isn't the case. And IIRC JFS is from IBM and is used in AIX so I'd think it's pretty mature.
