Nope, no reason to avoid them at all.

I run a pair of PVR-150MCE's in my backend.

What if I am running a PVR-250 and I am planning to get a 2nd tuner card. Is there a reason why PVR-150 or PVR-150 MCE would have any problems when it comes to drivers?

Thanks,
Ash.

I doubt it. I run a PVR250, PVR250MCE and PVR500MCE in my box. The 500 is just two 150s, so I think this should apply to you as well.
I'm even running on older drivers (don't ask me which ones) from the atrpms testing branch, I have not updated them in over 2 months. I guess I've finally joined the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' crowd.
