Had already made sure of that. In the mythtvsetup on the SBE I specify the MBE IP address. Maybe what is confusing me is how to get the capture cards on the SBE configured on the MBE. I run mythtvsetup on the SBE and can see the cards there. But when I try to assign the video sources on the SBE (in mythtvsetup) there is no choice for my cable listing. I confirmed that the SBE backend connects to the MBE. If I run mythtvsetup on the MBE and try to configure a new capture card it looks like it lists the same cards. Maybe this is what I am getting confused. On both systems there are /dev/video0 and /dev/video1. But in the mythtvsetup there is nothing that I see that indicates that any of these would be on the SBE. Does that make sense?
