I have Mandriva, and doing this downgrade had no effect on the problem
of large fonts not fitting.
rpm -Uvh --force
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/core/2/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/urw-fonts-2.1-7.noarch.rpm
Maybe because it is a Fedora rpm? Anyway, the problem remains.
As per my thread about a week or so ago, editing the themes XML to lower
the font sizes remains my only solution.

According to the RedHat bugzilla report on the problem, the later urw
packages improved but did not fix the problem, so you still need to do
the downgrade for myth. It's not big deal, it's just a font package,
so it's not like it's going to affect how your system runs.
BTW the QT problem in FC3 was with requiring Ctrl-Enter on the setup
buttons. That's been fixed in FC4.
