This may seem like a silly question, but since you moved it's worth
asking: Are you really sure you have the IR receiver plugged-into the
right port on the right card? This is the best reason I know of why a
setup that used to work would suddenly stop.
Not silly at all Dan, I've done that before. haha! In this case, I've
plugged it into both cards (there is a 250 and 350 in the same box) and
into the correct port (it only fits in the proper port).
