If you are using analog cable, then the V4L drivers will work with this card (probably depending on kernel version, your mileage may vary) in which case there is no conflict with the PVR-500. I did have both working in my machine at one point. It is likely, however, that if you have any kind of digital input to the HD-3000, the V4L drivers won't work, but I have not personally verified that. --Greg
