The hardware has inverse telecine and MPEG2 interlace coding, but unfortunately these are broken in the current firmware. I have a request with the firmware team to fix this, but unfortunately it's not a customer request so it's pretty low priority. I don't have an estimate of when it will be supported. If your captures are mainly used in DVD authoring, you're better off with different hardware for the foreseeable future. -Nathan
