Recently I updated my mythtv box from FC3 to FC4. I have a PVR-500 installed in it, and set it up using Jarod Wilson's guide (except that I deviated a little and used the current SVN build of mythtv and mythplugins).
On my previous install channels 5 and 6 did not come in right (black and white, fuzzy on channel 6), however after Googling the problem, I found a solution by finetuning the channels by a value of 20. With the new install I could not get this to work. I have tried a whole host of fine tunings. I also have tried using a different frequency table (us-cable-hrc), however that ended up making all of my channels come in like crap (black and white, with crackly sound). I am using Comcast analog cable on the north shore of Massachusetts. I have also tried fine tuning the channels to the IRC freunecies (2 MHz higher than standard) with no luck. Any suggestions on things I have not tried? I also tried to install xawtv and tvtime to manually tune the channels, however I was not able to get either to work with the 30 minutes of time I had.
