ALL,
Ok, did some more digging. I was checking the mysql list and guides this
whole time as well. Figured it out. For some reason the startup script in
rc.d/init was pointing to the wrong database. Pointed it the right way and
it starts fine now.
However now Mythtv can't find the database -
mythtv display
2005-10-02 12:44:27.991 Unable to connect to database!
2005-10-02 12:44:27.992 Driver error was [1/1049]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Unknown database 'mythconverg'
mysql dispaly
/usr/libexec/mysqld: ready for connections
hosts table
127.0.0.1 mythtv localhost.localdomain localhost
I have used the IP, mythtv, and localhost in the database config. Same
error as above.
At a bit of a loss.
