I understand that... but my point is exactly that I DON'T want to depend on
the EPG or the currently running program. I want to be able to do a "manual"
record for however long I want (30 minutes, 1 hour, whatever).
Makes sense. The wording of the question made it sound like you didn't
know about the other methods, and didn't quite get that point across, to
me anyway. No harm, no foul, and I can see why you'd want that, but it's
not a feature I've ever needed.
