I just had a similar problem with a PVR-150 and a HD-3000. Turns out that the latest drivers that come with the atrpm-ivtv packages don't like playing with the HD3000. So, I removed all of the atrpm-ivtv packages, went to the ivtv website and downloaded the older 0.37a version (which, from my research, seemed to be the last version to work correctly with the 3000).
