Ok, I'll give this a shot tonight when I get home.

I'm running MythTV 18.1 on Fedora Core, so it's pretty much the most up to date without running CVS.

Had something similar happen a while back.  Determine the name of the
file and use touch to create an empty file of that name in the
directory.  Then go back and try the delete again.

I found the file name by checking the mythbackend log file after trying
to delete the file.
