$ /usr/bin/mythbackend --version
0.18.1.20050510-1
When connecting with R5A22 I get the following message:
MainServer::HandleVersion - Client speaks protocol version 18 but we
speak 15!
which is rather weird.
Make sure you're running the exact same version on both the frontend and
backend--i.e. run R5A22. Then, once that's working, we can work on the
color problem.
