Ok so i found 720p modeline and a 1080i modeline, looks pretty standard. Ok if i run under 1080i, nothing is shown under RGB-PC but if i got to RGB-DTV on my tv, i can see it, really nice, but it's half and half, like a line runs down the middle, and the right half is on the left and the left half is on the right, like the screen has moved to the halfway to the right. However, 720p doesn't work. I don't understand. neither rgb-pc or rgb-dtv has no signal when i run in 720p, that's if i don't have contingencies. Like in my xf86config-4 file
...
here is the part that probably matters in the config file:

ModeLine "720p" 74.176 1280 1320 1376 1650 720 722 728 750 Interlace

The modeline has to be adjusted for your TV. The easiest approach is to find a modeline someone posted on the 'net for your TV model. Google for your TV model number, 720p, and modeline.
