Spammers are picking up on addresses from these lists ultra-fast---
I just got one of the zillions of bogus ebay-acct-susp messages I've
been seeing for months sent to this brand-new address. I don't know
if either list is trying to obsfuscate address in their archives, or if
they're gatewayed to Usenet, or if any attempt is being made to keep
spammers from harvesting these lists---but if an attempt -is- being
made, it's failing.

This address was first used -ever- on "Mon, 31 Oct 2005 15:51:28 -0500 (EST)"
in a post to mythtv-users; it was also used "Wed, 2 Nov 2005 14:12:35 -0500
(EST)"
in a post to ivtv-users. So we're talking less than 48 hours---
and perhaps less than 2 hours---from first use to getting spammed.

(One annoying way of dealing, of course, would be to register two
addresses on the list, posting from A (but inhibiting mail delivery
from the list to A, and making A not be a valid address after signup),
while actually receiving listmail from B. Or, of course, filters.)
