Did it ever occur to you that some of us are working with less hardware? BTW, there's no such thing as a 3GHz AMD CPU. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users Hey, you are really clever ! Indeed there is no processor with real 3 GHz. IT people just call them 3 GHz, because the speed of this chips is comparable to older chips when they would have been driven with this frequency. To be precise, I was talking about an Athlon XP3000+ (2100 MHz) and if you would have read the whole thread, you would have noticed, that the author of the original message was complaining, that his compile was taking DAYS on a similar machine with a P4 xxx - no I will not say 3GHz again. Thanks a lot for your help on this subject. It's good to know that there are people like you around.
