Did it ever occur to you that some of us are working with less hardware?

BTW, there's no such thing as a 3GHz AMD CPU.

Hey, you are really clever ! Indeed there is no processor with real 3 GHz. IT 
people just call them 3 GHz, because the speed of this
chips is comparable to older chips when they would have been driven with this 
frequency.
To be precise, I was talking about an Athlon XP3000+ (2100 MHz) and if you 
would have read the whole thread, you would have noticed,
that the author of the original message was complaining, that his compile was 
taking DAYS on a similar machine with a P4 xxx - no I
will not say 3GHz again.

Thanks a lot for your help on this subject. It's good to know that there are 
people like you around.
