it's worse then that. mpeg algorithms and the like are already so
randomly distributed, if you turn compression on, you will get _less_
then 20 gigs of storage. Leave compression off completely ( at the
tape drive, and in software ), it will be faster, and you'll be much
more happy.

Sounds like I will need twice as many tapes then. WONDERFUL. Thanks guys. No other thoughts on saveing the LVM group for a complete re-install?
