It looks like a problem that I've seen with certain versions of
ImageMagick.
You might try downgrading to 6.2.2.3 <http://6.2.2.3> -- that version
works
fine for me.

I second that - had to downgrade from 6.2.4 back to 6.2.2 to get round
this problem.
Me too. Why did I upgrade in the first place? That version has a
security vulnerability.
I'm pretty sure the @file syntax has been stripped from certain options
in certain imagemagick
utilities that mythburn uses. Someone with more knowledge of mythburn
and imagemagick
needs to release a new version of mythburn that works around these
problems so we can
all use a safe version of imagemagick again.
Gentoo doesn't provide a security patched version of 6.2.2.3, so the
clock is ticking.
