I used this command line for xine:
xine -pfhq --no-splash %s

And I used the default command line for mplayer.  Both mplayer and
xine have the same result.  When I click a video to watch it, nothing
at all happens, and neither mplayer nor xine show up in top.

I've tried it as the mythtv user and even as root.  Both ways have the
same result.
