I would run alsamixer whilst you have some audio playing through your
PVR-350 card. The line-in needs to be set to 'capture' with sensible
audio level, and also muted in recording settings (so that you don't
hear two copies of the same audio), whilst playback needs to have PCM
and master output unmuted, again with sensible levels. Play around
with the recording levels until you find one that is satisfactory for
your setup.
