2388xTF. The manual says "The New Hardware Wizard will...detect the ÿÿConexant 23880 Video Capture (NTSC)ÿÿ device."
Software-based card. Probably fairly similar to the bttv for support, but it will take lots of CPU to record. Hardware-based cards (e.g. the PVR-150) are in general better quality for less space/cpu.
