Err, when I tried this, it totalled the signal on them so I bought a
'proper' amplifying splitter, that allegedly amplifies the digital
frequences primarily.  But the noise when 'passing through' was
laughable! I would suggest that's where your problem lies <g>

Aha ! looks like this is my problem then. I did the same thing and had serious trouble getting a decent signal afterwards. I thought it must be the proximity of the cards as I had been assured that the pass through had an amplifier bulit in and generated a good signal !

I'll look for an amplifying splitter and try again.

So, I have been googling and ebaying for such a thing - looks like I just want a 'booster' (UK English?) with multiple outputs... but there is a bewildering variety on offer. Can anyone give me some idea of what would constitute a good solution and what I should stear clear of, or are they all much the same ?
