But in mythtv-setup, you evidently configured that read-only directory as the location for Myth to put new reecordings, that is why it is trying to make sure it can write there. If you want Myth to wirte to one of those other filesystems, you need to specify a directory on one of those filesystems when you run mythtv-setup. I think you want MythVideo to use this read-only filesystem (configured via the MythVideo settings page in mythfrontend) and you want mythbackend (MythTV) to use one of the read-writw filesystems (configured via mythtv-setup). -- Chris
