I posted this query to the dev mailing list but it appears to have
fallen on deaf ears. Can anybody help? I'd like to run the SVN version
of MythTV but cannot. Thanks.

I am running 18.1 very successfully. Without changing the hardware or
drivers in anyway, I installed SVN #8054. Everything works (and feels
much snappier, BTW) but I cannot watch LiveTV due to these prebuffering
pauses every 2-5 seconds.
I tried with and without mythfrontend being SUID.
How do I further diagnose the problem?
