I've got the Vonage sniffer script running on my IPCop box, but it wasn't especially easy to setup.

IPCop's Perl installation is lacking a bunch of the pre-req's for the Vonage script. It doesn't have CPAN or a compiler, so installing things was a lot of manual labor -- compile something on another Linux box, copy it over, run the script, see what was missing, compile *that*, rinse, repeat....

That said, now that it's working, I've found it very nice & very stable. I modified the script to call elseed, so my TiVo, Myth box, and assorted desktops and laptops all get the pop-up. I've had the script running for about three weeks now without the slightest problem.

I also found that the sniffer script gets call-waiting notifications even with call-waiting disabled. I personally can't stand the beep- kerthump fo a call-waiting-plus-caller-id tone, and I hate putting people on hold. But knowing *who* called is rather nifty. There's no tone or ring or anything, but when someone else calls when I'm on the phone, all the various Yac enabled devices in the house still get the message.
